Ombra to host a special dinner with Tutto wines and chef Francesco Brutto of Michelin-starred Venissa

Ombra to host a special dinner with Tutto wines and chef Francesco Brutto of Michelin-starred Venissa

Ombra is set to host a dining event on 20th November featuring Italian chef Francesco Brutto of Michelin-starred Venissa and Tutto’s winemakers Alex Della Vecchi and Jacopo Stigliano. The evening promises an array of dishes showcasing Italy’s regional cuisines, paired with a selection of low-intervention wines.

The restaurant, which opened in 2011 and saw chef Mitshel Ibrahim take the helm in 2017, is known for its seasonal menu that emphasises the best of the UK’s produce, complemented by Italian imports. Chef Brutto will join Ibrahim to prepare a menu inspired by the Venetian lagoon and its environmental ethos.

The winemaking team of Della Vecchia and Stigliano, founders of Tutto Wines in 2012, will contribute their expertise to the event. They are recognised for crafting wines that articulate the unique characteristics of their vineyards’ terroir.

The menu, priced at £50 per person excluding wine and service, will feature dishes such as Tamarind Tortellini with Double Cream and Angostura; Marinated Mackerel with Lentils, Quince and Rosemary; Ex Dairy Cow with Hen of the Wood and Black Walnuts; and a dessert of Pear, Pine and Coffee.

It will be a celebration of Italian gastronomy, from the north to the south.
