Coldplay turns generous amidst their “music of the spheres world tour”
Coldplay turned generous amidst their music of the Spheres world tour as they dished out free tickets to some of their fans who were affected by two canceled flights scheduled to leave Brisbane and Adelaide some days ago, causing them to miss the band’s Perth show in Western Australia.
In a public statement released by the popular British Band, Coldplay declared their disappointment on behalf of the fans and promised to give those affected free tickets to their 2024 Australian shows.
To claim these tickets, email info@livenation.com.au before the 28th of November, this month, and you will be informed on how to go about the process of claiming them.
Coldplay has been touring the world for their Music of the Spheres world tour since last year. The tour which has now generated millions of dollars for the “Something Just Like This” singers is now a global sensation because it isn’t the first time they have organized a successful tour.
For each Coldplay concert, there are hundreds of fans following the event both physically and virtually. Even though attending a concert virtually is a bit fun, the feeling is nothing compared to being there physically. The vibes and cloud-9 feeling are indescribable and one you cannot relate to, especially online.
We know a lot of you would want to be at Coldplay’s shows, but can’t deal with the complexity of acquiring tickets. As such, don’t forget that there’s always a marketplace where you can get Coldplay tickets without a hassle.
Coldplay had a safe landing with their “Parachute,” after successfully organizing and executing it as their first ever live performance back in 2000. “Parachute” was their debut album as a band, and the welcome it received from the world motivated the 4-man band to organize a tour which contributed greatly to their fame.
A video of Chris Martin predicting their fame back in 1998 once made rounds online after the band got and remained in the spotlight. This made it clear that Coldplay was here to stay.
Coldplay tours Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland for the first time in eight years
It’ll be 8 years by next year since the last time Coldplay took their live performance to Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland.
The Coldplay band recently announced tour dates in New Zealand and Australia and this time, Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland are on the lucky list of cities the band will pass through.
Amidst the Music of the Spheres World Tour, Coldplay has done everything possible to carry every Coldplay fan along and this time, as per good looking out, Coldplay is making available a number of $32 tickets for their shows called, “Infinity Tickets.”
The infinity ticket allows Coldplay fans to access the shows without having to break the bank and this isn’t the first time Coldplay has done a thing like this, it is like a tradition for every Coldplay Tour.
The tickets are currently being sold to fans who require them. However, they are sold in pairs, and the two must be in attendance before receiving the tickets.
Supporting acts
As the band prepares to tour Australia and New Zealand, they have also announced two superstars that will be supporting them amidst the music of the Spheres world tour.
PinkPanthress
PinkPanthress is a record producer and also, a singer from England. She became famous through TikTok after posting snippets of her songs on the platform.
She has been nominated 11 times, and has won 2 of the nominations with categories, BBC Sound of 2022 and Best Female Act presented by BBC Sounds and MOBO Awards, respectively.
In a video posted by most requested live, Panthress confessed to being shocked by the fact that Coldplay’s Chris Martin knows she exists to the point of covering her song on stage.
If anything, her being a supporting act on the Music of the Spheres World Tour as the band tours Australia and New Zealand is a great opportunity for her to increase her popularity, put more of her music out there, and possibly recruit more fans to her side.
Emmanuel Kelly
Emmanuel Kelly, we’ve been informed is the second celebrity listed to support the Coldplay Band amidst their Australia and New Zealand Music of the Spheres World Tour.
He is an Australian musician that rose to fame after appearing on the X Factor audition where he sang, “Imagine.” His video quickly went viral with more than 1 billion people loving his art.
Emmanuel’s back story would make you teary. He came to Australia after witnessing a horrifying past in Iraq. According to reports, he was found half dead by two soldiers with no known identity and was kept in an orphanage in Baghdad where he and his found brother, Ahmed met Moira Kelly, a humanitarian who fell in love with the two boys and decided to help them get a better life.
Kelly has gone through more than 5 life-changing surgeries all so he could have the life he lives now. In a post that sprung up in 2018, Kelly was recognized by Billboard as the “First Differently-Abled Pop Star.”
Performing in Australia and New Zealand will not be the first time Kelly performs alongside Chris Martin of Coldplay, on stage. The two had previously performed together back in 2018 in Los Angeles, at the Teleton USA.
The fact that Kelly is still a global sensation even after the X Factor means his dreams of becoming the first differently able pop star are coming true.
“I Waited 27 years to see Coldplay live”
Coldplay took the Music of the Spheres World Tour to Malaysia where some of the fans there have been waiting for 27 years just to see the band play, as seen on X, formerly known as Twitter.
According to fans who were present at the concert, there was a heavy downfall of rain, but the band persisted giving the eager crowd something to remember for the rest of their lives.
The heavy downpour of rain made Chris Martin of Coldplay recite a poem for the crowd in their native language.
A billion dollar tour
Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour is on its way to being a billion-dollar tour. The tour started on the 18th of March 2022, and already, it has raised close to $700 million according to Box Office with close to a year before it ends.
Officially, Coldplay planned 170 shows for the Music of the Spheres World Tour, with locations scattered across Asia, Europe, North and South America, and Oceania.
The attendance at each show is incredible. Reportedly, more than 6.65 million people have attended the Coldplay shows since it began and this report is gathered from 114 dates. That means, there are still 56 shows to go.
Now when you add up these numbers and do a little bit of mathematics, you’ll realize that by the time the Music of the Spheres world tour ends in 2024, Coldplay will be walking away with nothing short of a Billion dollars.
This is truly a deserving win considering that Coldplay has given back to their fans as much as they receive.
