Silver Haze: On the red carpet with Esmé Creed-Miles and Vicky Knight at BFI Flare

Silver Haze, directed by a Dutch film director, Sacha Polak, tells the story of 23-year-old Frankie (Vicky Knight), who struggles with her own anxieties and seeks revenge for a traumatic event that changed her life forever. Unexpectedly, she also falls in love with Florence (Esmé Creed-Miles) and their relationship changes their lives forever. The film premiered last year during the Berlinale and received critical acclaim from the press and the audience. Now, Silver Haze premieres in the UK during the BFI Flare Film Festival.

The Upcoming had the pleasure of speaking to lead actress, Knight, about her personal story, which inspired the movie, working on this film and being at the BFI Flare Film Festival.

We also chatted with Esmé Creed-Miles, who told us how important Silver Haze is for her, how she portrays her character and what it was like to work with Knight on set.

We also heard from Brian Robinson, the BFI Flare programmer, about the film and festival line-up for this year.
