Great Scotland Yard Hotel partners with Floris London for a Spring Afternoon Tea supporting women’s charity
In a delightful nod to the advent of spring and the celebration of Women’s Month, the 5* Great Scotland Yard Hotel in London has unveiled a special Spring Afternoon Tea at The Parlour. This proposal is the result of a collaboration with the renowned perfumery Floris London and is designed to pay tribute to women and their roles in society. A portion of the proceeds from the afternoon tea sales will be donated to Street Talk, a charity offering counselling services to women involved in street-based prostitution and victims of trafficking, aiming to support their recovery with professional care.
Launching in April 2024, the afternoon tea menu draws inspiration from Floris’ enchanting Lily of The Valley scent, featuring a range of exquisite dishes such as Egg Truffle Mayo and Chives on Pain de Mie, Courgette, Rocket and Lemon Quiche, and Caramelised Jerusalem Artichoke and Montgomery Cheddar Yorkshire Pudding. Guests will also be treated to freshly baked scones served with Cornish clotted cream and rhubarb and rose jam, curated by the hotel’s Head Pastry Chef Veronica Garrido Martinez. The special partnership is a chance to indulge in a sumptuous afternoon tea but also to explore the exclusive scent by Floris.
Priced from £59 per person, reservations for this afternoon tea can be made online or by contacting the hotel directly. Situated in a Grade II listed building from the 1820s, the Great Scotland Yard Hotel is a blend of historic charm and modern luxury, featuring 151 rooms and suites, several dining outlets including the Michelin-starred Ekstedt at the Yard, and the cocktail bar The 40 Elephants, among other amenities. The hotel is part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, known for its portfolio of story-driven hotels.
Floris London is a family-owned business with a 290-year legacy located in St James’s. The perfumery has a long history of crafting scents that evoke emotions and commemorate significant moments, and it has been a proud supplier to the Royal Household since 1800.
