Studiocanal has just confirmed the home premiere of the much-anticipated psychological thriller, Mothers’ Instinct, set for release on 13th May 2024. This gripping film stars the formidable talents of Jessica Chastain and Anne Hathaway, both Academy Award winners, who play best friends and neighbours caught in a web of guilt, paranoia and maternal love gone awry in 60s suburbia following a tragic accident that involves one of their children.

Directed by Benoît Delhomme, renowned for his cinematography in acclaimed films such as The Theory of Everything and A Most Wanted ManMothers’ Instinct marks his directorial debut. The film also features performances by Anders Danielsen Lie, known for The Worst Person in the World, and Josh Charles from The Good Wife.

The story follows Alice (played by Chastain) and Céline (played by Hathaway), whose bond is progressively poisoned by a harrowing mix of emotions, leading to a compelling clash that uncovers a darker aspect of maternal love.
