Eras Tour: Four countries on the list to host Taylor Swift in May 2024
After a break that seems like forever, Taylor Swift will resume the “Eras Tour” on the 9th of May, 2024, which is in a few days. The world has missed her touch of magic, which she has managed to keep up with, since the beginning of the “Eras Tour.”
Taylor Swift took some time off to release her 11th Era, “The Tortured Poets Department,” and everyone is now eager to see if she will add it to the setlist of the “Eras Tour.” When that happens, the remaining countries she is yet to visit will be the home of the luckiest Swifties on earth, because they’ll be entertained by Taylor Swift’s complete era.
Some of the countries are places she has visited in her previous tours. Safe to say, back when she wasn’t as popular as she is now. The fact that she is going there again, and this time, recognized as a billionaire musician, headlining one of the greatest concerts in the world, means that there are probably no right words to describe the excitement of the Swifties there. Especially now when the wait is down to hours.
We’ll be looking at 4 of the Countries that will be the first to encounter an “11 Era Taylor Swift” in this article, and how the Swifties there have contributed to Taylor Swift’s growth, one way or the other.
The fun about being a Swiftie is that nothing is stopping you from traveling interstate to watch Taylor perform. Even though tickets to her concerts are scarce at the moment, you can easily check out Taylor Swift Tickets through an online ticket marketplace, and possibly be a part of the Swifties to be served from her 11 Eras.
France
The first time Taylor Swift took a tour to France was in 2011, during her “Speak Now” tour that lasted 2 years. At that time, only 8k people made it to the concert which was held at Zénith de Paris, located in Paris, with a standard capacity of 9k people.
Fast forward to 2024, when she is scheduled to host a concert again in France, the concert will be held in Paris La Défense Arena, which is located in Nanterre and has a standard capacity of 40k people.
This alone goes on to show the level of growth Taylor has undergone because she will be entertaining more than 4 times the number of people that were at Zénith de Paris, during her “Speak Now” tour. Judging from the fact that the “Eras Tour” has broken many attendance records, it’s a future fact that Taylor will have more people this time in her concert, than the amount that attended her concert the last time she was there.
The recognition that her current Era received after its release is another determining factor that Taylor will have more Swifties in her concert this time in Nanterre, than she bargained for. “The Tortured Poets Department” climbed up to the No.1 spot on French Albums (SNEP), within 1 week of its release, and from the look of things; the album will maintain the same position for the rest of the year.
Taylor’s concert in Paris La Défense Arena, Nanterre, will be the first concert after her break, and the release of her 11th album. It will also be her first concert in France after 12 years. Even though the singer will revisit France in June, we have a feeling that the night of 9th May will be an unforgettable night for anyone who will be present
Sweden
The “Eras Tour” will be the first live performance that Taylor Swift will take to Sweden ever since she became a superstar in the music industry and the concert will be held in the city of Stockholm, in Friends Arena which has a standard capacity of 65k.
Swifties in Sweden have been counting down for long, ever since Taylor announced that she will be visiting there for the “Eras Tour.” For them, this will be the first time they set eyes on the singer, so the excitement amidst the anticipation has no bounds at the moment.
To top it all, Taylor will be coming to them recognised as a billionaire, even when a lot of other countries hosted a millionaire Taylor Swift. It’s such a big flex when you look at it from a perspective. Sweden will be the “Eras Tourist” next stop after she rounds up her 4-night concert in France. The concert will start on the 17th of May, and end on the 19th of May.
The Swifties in Sweden have been supportive of Taylor’s craft, so it’s nice to see the singer recognise them and bless them with the show of their lives. Her recent album, “The Tortured Poets Department” currently sits at the No.1 spot on Swedish Albums (Sverigetopplistan), and it looks unshaken.
Portugal
Sweden isn’t the only place with desperate Swifties who are eager to see Taylor Swift for the first time. Portugal has the same stories, but that is also about to change. Taylor Swift will be in Portugal on the 24th and 25th of May. Her concert will be held in Portugal’s city of Lisbon which is the home of Estádio da Luz, which has a concert capacity of more than 65k people.
It might surprise many that the “Eras Tour” will be the first tour that Taylor Swift takes to Portugal, especially with the fact that the Swifties there have been active engagers of Taylor’s craft. Her current album for instance sits comfortably at the No.1 spot of Portuguese Albums (AFP). It climbed up the charts after 1 week of release. It takes a dedicated fan base that is interested in your craft to make such possible.
The stories heard about the “Eras Tour” and how people travel across the ocean to watch Taylor Swift perform are not cap. We’re afraid that if the same thing happens in Portugal this month, a lot of people might end up not seeing the singer perform since from all indications, Estádio da Luz will be too small for everyone.
Spain
Just like France, Taylor Swift visited Spain in 2011, during her “Speak Now” tour. So this year will be a reunion between Taylor and her fans who must’ve been missing her for 12 good years. Back in 2011, Taylor Swift held her concert in Palacio de los Deportes, which is located in Madrid. Approximately 4k people reportedly attended the concert, even though the venue has a 17k people capacity.
This year, Taylor’s “Eras Tour” concert will be held in Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, and the venue, which is located in Madrid, has a standard capacity of 130k people. From all indications, Taylor Swift will entertain more than the number of people who were at her concert the last time she was in Spain.
Swifties there have also proven how effective they are, after they pushed Taylor Swift’s current album up the Spanish Albums (PROMUSICAE) list, placing it at the No.1 spot. Spain will be the last country that Taylor Swift visits in May after she resumes the “Eras Tour” on the 9th of this month. Her concerts are scheduled for; the 29th and 30th of May.
