Alley Cats Pizza to open its second London location in Chelsea

New York-style pizzeria Alley Cats Pizza is set to open its second London location on King’s Road in Chelsea on Friday, 9th August 2024. Following the success of its original Marylebone site launched in December 2023, the new venue aims to replicate the lively atmosphere that have already made a mark on the city’s pizza scene. The Chelsea branch will feature the same signature 14-inch thing and crunchy pizzas, crafted by Head Chef Francesco Macri, alongside a menu starring Southern Italian ingredients.

Alley Cats in Chelsea promises an authentic New York pizza experience, combined with the finest produce from Southern Italy, including sweet San Marzano tomatoes and creamy Buffalo Mozzarella from Campania. Chef Francesco Macri has prepared a selection of dishes the likes of Meatballs of Beef and Pork in slow-cooked tomato sauce, Candied Bacon, and a variety of pizzas including the options of Vodka Sauce – made with four-hour slow-cooked vodka in the creamy tomato sauce topped off with both aged mozzarella and buffalo mozzarella – and the Pepperoni – dressed in tomato sauce, aged mozzarella, smoked pepperoni, jalapeno and honey. Desserts like Tiramisu with Pistachio and Vanilla Soft Serve with various toppings also feature on the menu.

The interior of the new location mirrors the eclectic style of the original Alley Cats, with central tables draped in gingham tablecloths, upcycled church pew-style seating, and episodes of The Sopranos projected silently on an exposed brick wall, creating a vibrant dining setting. Guests can also enjoy a selection of handcrafted cocktails, fine wines, and refreshing beers alongside their meals.

Situated at 342 King’s Road, the Chelsea branch of Alley Cats Pizza expands the brand’s footprint in London, promising to offer the same quality and atmosphere that have contributed to the success of its Marylebone site. The establishment will be open for walk-ins only, serving lunch and dinner seven days a week.
