Technology has changed our lives in so many different ways and will continue to do so, with more inventions coming out yearly. If we take AI as an example: AI has been growing in capability and is now being integrated into a lot of things that we use in our daily lives, such as our mobile phones. Samsung has recently launched its new phone which integrates AI into phone calls, image editing and more.
That is just one area that tech is shaping the future of, but there are also other areas: Online gaming is also changing drastically with people now able to use VR headsets to play, on their game consoles or mobile phones. As time goes by, there will be new ways to game, which we haven’t even thought of yet.
Below we look into a few examples of how tech is shaping the future.
Online gaming
In the past, when people wanted to play games such as Rainbow Riches, they would have to go into a physical store to play on their local high street. In today’s world, you can play on your mobile phone from any location where you get a signal, you can play on a VR headset in the comfort of your own home or you can use your games console (which are also constantly changing). In the future, technology is going to improve, unlocking even more powerful ways in which people can enjoy online gaming. The good thing about it being more accessible is that it allows more people to learn new games such as poker, improving the standard overall.
Cyber security
If you cast your mind back to many years ago (we mean 20, 30 years ago), the internet and social media didn’t exist like it does in today’s world. Now, it is at the forefront of most businesses, generating huge amounts of money, with more companies relying on it. This means that cyber security is no longer a priority, it’s now a necessity. If someone unfortunately targets you as part of a cyber attack, this could take your business down for a few days, which could be very testing. As we rely more and more on technology over the future years, the more that companies will need to invest in new cybersecurity to protect themselves and their consumers.
New job roles
We can also refer to big changes when we think of tech that replaces certain jobs (self-scanners in supermarkets, reducing the need for as many shop assistants), it’s also creating new job roles that never existed in the past. What this means is that in the future, we are going to have to adapt our education system to teach people about technology, so that they can work with it in the future. As more technology pieces get released, more jobs will become available.
How do you think tech is shaping the future? Do you agree with the points we have made above? Is there anything you think is missing in our guide? Let us know in the comment box below.
