“One of the best action movies in years”: Jason Flemyng, Arianna Rivas, Noemi Gonzalez, Chidi Ajufo and Eddie J Fernandez on A Working Man

A Working Man is a new, action-packed drama with Jason Statham, directed by his new favourite filmmaker, David Ayer. It tells the story of an ex-Marine, Levon Cade (Statham), who is hired to find out what happened to his boss’s daughter. He learns that she’s been kidnapped by the Russian mafia. As a father himself, Levon will sacrifice everything to bring her back. It’s the second film Ayer and Statham have made together, and it seems like it might not be the last one.

The Upcoming had the pleasure of speaking to Jason Flemyng, who plays one of the bad guys. He praised working with Ayer and talked about his friendship with Statham.

Arianna Rivas and Noemi Gonzalez discussed on-screen chemistry and how they approach shaping the mother-daughter dynamics in A Working Man.

Chidi Ajufo explained how he prepared for the role, what it was like to work with Statham and why he is grateful for this opportunity.

As the film’s main stunt coordinator, Eddie J Fernandez explained to us what it was like to work on the film and what element he found the most challenging during the shooting process.
