Press Day: Surgery PR show us their A/W’13 collections!
Hidden away in the backstreets of London’s manic Oxford Street, Surgery PR welcomed us in to their little fashion wonderland with their A/W’13 collections at the ready for us to admire. With so many fantastic brands on their books, such as, Kipling, Paul’s Boutique, Replay, Farah Vintage, Frye, Hudson, Superga and many more, it’s hard to know where to even start!
On arrival, the lovely team was as friendly and welcoming as ever with dedicated staff to show press around the displayed collections, full of knowledge and with an obvious passion for the brands they represent. Here at The Upcoming, we’d like to tell you about a few!
First up, Paul’s Boutique! Traditionally their designs can be quite overpowering, especially with their custom charms and bright neon colours. Yet with this collection if seems they’ve opened up to a new market. Full of classic shapes in neutral shades whilst introducing new leathers, prints and studs they’ve gone for a more sophisticated feel. Don’t panic though, they haven’t completely jumped ship… some designs still have those subtle neon trims! We absolutely fell in love with the metallic purple satchel with snakeskin edging and we’re certain this collection will be their most successful yet.
It was absolutely lovely to see Surgery PR showcasing student designers, with collections from two recent London College of Fashion graduates – Tina Sutradhar and George Alvin. Promoting creative and innovative designs at their very best as well as helping to expose up and coming designers.
For Kipling’s A/’W13 range, they’ve introduced a new line of accessories, something they’ve never done before! It includes notebooks, beanies, scarfs even a pac-a-mac for those rainy days we’re bound to have. However, our favourite by far was the bracelets, each complete with the ever so cute signature monkey charm!
To round up, we had an absolutely fantastic day thanks to Surgery PR and can’t wait for these collections to hit the stores. Affordable, fun and right on trend, we know you’re going to love them!
