Marilyn Monroe inspired footwear line to hit shelves in September 2013

A brand new collection of footwear is all set to join the already existing Marilyn Monroe Apparel line owned by Authentic Brands Group, NYC. The deal was signed with Will Rich Shoe Co. LLC and their collection of goodies will be hitting the shelves in September of this year, with prices ranging from $39-$79. How exciting! The collection is said to be made up of a huge variety of shapes because, as we all know, Monroe liked to keep everyone guessing. “Marilyn is fun and flirty, but she’s also glamorous and sophisticated,” Nick Woodhouse, president and chief marketing officer for Authentic Brands, told Footwear News. “It’s a little bit of both and it will touch on everything.”

The Marilyn Monroe license and estate is owned by Authentic Brands and is still in high demand for various labels. In fact she was used to promote Chanel and Dior fragrances since her death over 50 years ago. Monroe was hugely well known for the amount of variety she introduced into her looks throughout her era of fame, and the upcoming collection is said to take huge inspiration from her life in the 50s and 60s. The current apparel collection reflects her playful and feminine style perfectly… all that’s needed now is the shoes!

The stockists have not yet been confirmed, but the Marilyn Monroe clothing collection is currently available to buy from world-renowned department store, Macy’s.
