Get more “bang” for your buck at Liberty

On the third floor of the internationally famous store Liberty you can find a hair salon. This is not just any hair salon, but one owned by renowned hair colourist Josh Wood.

In September 2011 Wood opened his “anti-salon” Atelier in the trendy Notting Hill area, famed for its living wall, custom architecture and art collaborations. In 2012 Wood opened Atelier at Liberty, the store’s first hair salon.

On 1st April, Atelier Liberty began their new Bang Bar service that is possibly the fastest way to jazz up your hair in Central London. The new “drop-in and chop in” service allows you to have a new fringe cut into your hair for as little as a tenner!

Let’s be fair, £10 for a new look isn’t a bad deal and fringes are most certainly in at the moment. But what style do you go for?

Not all styles suit all faces, so if you aren’t sure which to go for why not talk over a couple of options with your stylist? And if you’re in need of some “fringespiration” look no further.

For many, the first name to jump into their mind when they think of fringes is Jessie J, before her recent head shaving, of course. Her trademark bob and clean-cut heavy fringe aren’t for everyone though; if your hair isn’t naturally straight you could be looking at a lot of upkeep.

Or if you’re not feeling all that brave you could opt for the Kate Middleton “barely there” fringe. This gives the hair a good shape around the face without anything too heavy or drastic. This would be the perfect option for those who need to be able to have their hair off their face for work.

And if you still aren’t sure, why not try a halfway house style à la Daisy Lowe? This style is more obvious than the “Middleton” but not as time consuming or blunt as the “Jessie J”.

Let us know if you decide to go for it and hit the Bang Bar for a quick update – just remember to stay away from the “Spock”.
