Profile: Goodone
Looking for a way to spice up a drab winter wardrobe? Well I’ve got a Goodone for you. Literally. Goodone is an independent, enviro-friendly fashion house well on its way to taking the British scene by storm. Already having collaborated with the likes of Puma, Topshop and NOKI, Goodone is very quickly climbing the fashion charts into the big leagues. Founded on the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle, Goodone places particular attention on the idea of mindful use of sustainable materials all the while maintaining artist integrity without restriction.
Their modern cuts revel in the essence of fashion, embracing continuity and ever-evolving style. The SS12 collection hits us with a palette of muted mauves and ice spring greens paired with washed-out blacks, heavy greys and textured navys. From silk bombers to textured leggings, this collection is the perfect remedy for the winter blues. My personal fave? The Panelled Silk Jumper. Slouchy and current, this jumper is totally versatile and easily taken from work to play. Pair with a structured blazer and almond-toe pump for an office conservative appeal, or throw on a leather vest with chunky accessories for an edgy downtown look.
Goodone fashions are available in boutiques locally and internationally, and ship anywhere in the world.
Mentored by the British Fashion Council, 2011 has proven itself a fruitful year for Goodone giving them opportunities to teach Sustainable Fashion courses, judging the Ethical Fashion Forums 2011 Innovative Awards and even speaking at Slovenia’s Fashion Week. Ultimately, Goodone is more than just a pretty face and is definitely making fast strides towards Rookie of the Year for 2012.
