Cara Delevingne reveals all in aid of skin cancer
The most sought after model these days, Cara Delevingne, has stripped down to support a great cause. As the latest fashionable face and body, Cara has posed nude for a campaign against skin cancer.
All created by none other than Marc Jacobs, the famous “Protect The Skin You’re In” slogan T-shirts have been a hit and will continue to do so with such famous figureheads to support them.
Cara is not the first to have been a part of this campaign and bared all for Jacobs’ nude tees. Famous names in the past include Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham, Bar Refaeli, Heidi Klum, Naomi Campbell, Dita Von Teese and Miranda Kerr. Such beautiful women united for one campaign.
How did it all come about? Well, Marc Jacobs and his long-time business partner, Robert Duffy, who was diagnosed with melanoma several years ago, began the campaign in 2006 in an attempt to raise funds for the New York University Skin Cancer Institute.
Other names who openly supported them were Naomi Campbell, Winona Ryder, Rufus Wainwright, Julianne Moore, and Selma Blair – many of whom posed against the advice of their agents.
The first Marc Jacobs T-shirts created raised over $400,000. Fashion helping a great cause.
The green 100 percent cotton T-shirt featuring Cara Delevingne is available to buy now online and at the Marc Jacobs Mount Street store in London. Priced at £23, all proceeds from sales of the product go to the institute.
So, if you want a T-shirt with a statement, this is one that will get many heads turning.
