Estee Lauder continues its fight against breast cancer
Estee Lauder has continued its quest against breast cancer with the announcement of its 2012 pink ribbon line and a limited edition jewelled pin, which has already sold out.
Estee Lauder has supported the breast cancer cause for nineteen years, having teamed up with celebrities such as Elizabeth Hurley. Hurley is an embodiment of a Hollywood starlet; glamorous, beautiful, dramatic and a confident woman. Her name helps promote Estee Lauder products for a good cause. She has worked tirelessly campaigning for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and has also helped create an ‘Elizabeth Pink’ lipstick with Estee Lauder, whose sales benefited the charity.
Currently the website promotes an anti-wrinkle serum; the company adds a unique breast cancer awareness touch by adorning the bottle with a pink ribbon and Estee Lauder charms, creating something special and commutative for the everyday user. The bonus of giving money to charity whilst extinguishing those wrinkles can bring a true sense of happiness to anyone.
Estee Lauder has found unique ways to generate awareness of breast cancer; in October the pink ribbon was illuminated on the Louvre in Paris, earlier this year a human pink ribbon was formed by 400 Facebook winners at the illumination of Le Grand Palais in Paris, and my favourite, the release of pink balloons in Vienna.
Breast cancer is close to Estee Lauder’s heart, this year they celebrated the life of Evelyn Lauder. They bid farewell to a remarkable woman who lost her life to cancer, after tirelessly campaigning for the cause. In promoting breast cancer awareness for nineteen years, Estee Lauder has helped donate $8.5million and has encouraged leading brands to embrace charitable works, as well as make monetary donations; Estee Lauder has also helped distribute 80million pink ribbons.
