Charlotte Cave: I Belong to Bedroom VIP party
It has been three years since Charlotte Cave opened her unique little salon (by the same name) and its success was certainly celebrated on Thursday night. Guests helped themselves to the ever-flowing glasses of fizz, cocktails and canapés as they rejoiced CC’s triumph.
Charlotte is proof of how hard work does eventually pay off. The talented creative has been working in the hair and beauty industry since the age of 17 and has built up a fantastic celebrity clientele all from the comfort of her bedroom. From U2 to Coldplay, Annie Lennox to Lady Gaga, Charlotte has worked with a fine range of musical talent over the years. Now her main work lies in the fashion industry with editorial in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Instyle, GQ and ID, and she has worked with a range of actors including Kevin Spacey, Clare Danes and Frieda Pinto.
When asked what brought her to where she is today, Charlotte stated: “Never saying no…to anything.” But we believe it’s more than just that. The celebrity stylist from Leeds has an infectious and bubbly character and it seems obvious as to why she is so popular.
Her salon retains a unique quality – it is small and intimate, just like a bedroom. She claims she never held a strong desire to open a salon; she loves working from her bedroom where she and her clients have homely and comfortable surroundings and can enjoy a proper chat. But she is overjoyed with the way things have turned out.
Her salon perfectly captures the homely/bedroom aura. With only four cutting stations over two floors, it is a peaceful and friendly environment. The décor also beautifully showcases a fine eye for detail, establishing an inviting feel. Charlotte also remarked on how finding the right team was of major importance. She hand-picked a team of hard-working and talented people who share Charlotte’s down-to-earth nature and creative style.
A DJ friend/client spun out some upbeat tunes in match with the evening’s mood and we were delighted to see famous designer Anya Hindmarch mosey in to embrace Charlotte. Anya has also contributed to the salon with some of her bags, featuring her signature bow, displayed on the shelves.
It seems Charlotte has developed a finely knit community of clients, colleagues and friends who all are eager to contribute to her on-going success and happy to be involved. And we were happy to be amongst the celebration, and pretty thrilled with our generous gift-bag filled luxurious beauty products – thanks Charlotte Cave!
