London Collections: Men – designers to watch
London Collections: Men is just around the corner and we couldn’t be more excited. The AW14 shows are going to be fantastic. We have three designers that we recommend you keep an eye out for: Katie Eary, Christopher Shannon and Ada + Nik. These designers are the ones to watch, with their previous successful collections, unique aesthetics and dedication to menswear; they always raise the bar and bring something new to the table. Here is a recap of the designers’ spring/summer 2014 collections.
Katie Eary
Katie Eary’s Flamingo Paradise show was one of the biggest highlights from LC:M SS14. With the luminous flamingo coloured pieces imprinted with cheetah spots, it’s hard to not identify a Katie Eary piece. The collection has been worn my celebrities worldwide such as Rita Ora as it’s very youthful and fresh.
Christopher Shannon
Fluorescent tones, colour blocking, glitter hairspray and variations of latex; the Christopher Shannon show was an event not to have been missed. The bold designs focused on colour and translucent textured pieces. This defused the strength of colour, could this be the start of a new trend? We think so!
Ada + Nik
Ada + Nik’s London Collections: Men showcased monochromatic, fitted leather pieces with unique details such as asymmetric cuts and accessories such as zips and tassels. The androgynous collection is very strong and exaggerates style being about details, not colour.
Niten Thakor
London Collections: Men will be running from 6th until 8th January, and we will be covering the shows, events and after parties directly to you on The Upcoming.
