London Fashion Week AW12
LFW – Alice Lee AW 2012 collection
Last year design duo Alice Lee was crowned as one of Vauxhall Fashion Scout’s ‘Ones to Watch’ when they exhibited their SS12 collection and now here they are again showing off their AW 12 collection at Freemasons Hall.
It is hard to stop the colour black from dominating these designs with it being an autumn/winter collection but Alice and Lee had no problem in breaking up their pieces with splashes of colours and even full pieces with no blacks in sight and they worked amazingly! These colours were reds, blacks, soft creams and browns and Alice Lee have made the option to dress in comfort possible whilst still pulling off a graceful look.
Knitted white sheath knee skirts accompanied soft cream sweaters and took over the catwalk, a luxurious image yet still equating to the ultimate comforts of a winter outfit. Other pieces included snoods and loose fit sweats to give a simple silhouette an interesting look.
The collection also has longer pieces; cream knitted maxi dresses (the description honestly doesn’t do the piece justice) whilst the final model sported a red rose hairpiece adding charisma to the collection. Alice Lee’s collection is ideal for any woman who loves being in comfort but still giving off sosphication and elegance. No doubt they will be very busy with orders after this show.
