London Fashion Week AW12
LFW – Craig Lawrence AW 2012 collection
A graduate from Central Saint Martins and previously worked for Gareth Pugh producing knitwear you can tell Lawrence has plenty of experience and motivation. In this collection he has moved away from knitwear slightly and added ideas of his daily life to his designs that really bring them to life.
The first part of Lawrence’s collection was inspired by the idea of travel and the battle of luxury Vs modern day budget. Colours prevailing were palette oranges, earthy browns and metallic coppers. Designs hitting the catwalk were alluring cropped jumpers and graceful pencil skirts.
Subtle slip dresses were accompanied with Swarovski collective, adding sparkle to the pieces.
This AW collection was the first for Craig Lawrence without being sponsored by the British Fashion Council, proving he can do it alone and has led himself into a sophisticated direction.
