LFW – Pam Hogg AW 2012 collection
A whole host of celebrities and press wanted to be a part of Pam Hogg’s ‘Wildlife’ Autumn/Winter 2012-13 collection. Queues the whole length of the street filled the area outside Freemason’s hall, the waiting knew there was something special in store. The inspiration for the collection came from Pam’s childhood and the display explored this to a completely different level.
The opening of the show revealed the focus around headpieces which seemed to take the form of bonnets extending in size and often covered the neck area. Each piece had a unique and modern feel to it. Bright shapes revealed greys, whites, reds and black hosted on one piece suits and one dress which seemed to play upon the innocent bonnet wearer theme, but contrasted the idea with bold invention. Models wore catsuits, dome dresses and a stunning Jamie Winstone even made her way down the catwalk displaying exceptional style and class in long leather heeled boots from Pam’s collection.
Hair styles focused upon key looks including low neck buns and contrasting loose, long hair. There was a change into monochrome colours from Jamie’s appearance on the runway but this soon moved into silver, gold and metallic catsuits and incredibly well structured red lingerie cut out piece, exposing the most intricate parts of the body in a truly magnificent way.
