Harrods launches world of Prada: Pradasphere
Luxury retailer Harrods has announced it is preparing to present a phenomenal collaboration with Prada. A vast exhibition will catalogue the history of the Italian design house – from fashion accessories to architecture, cinema and beyond.
Pradasphere, which launches this May, will showcase the inner workings and thoughts of Prada, revealed in a unique experience occupying the fourth floor of the Knightsbridge store. Set to delve into every aspect of the brand in an interactive, multi-dimensional encounter, the show space will cover a broad spectrum of previous collections, special projects, collaborations and experiments. Having toured the exhibition, customers will be able to relax in a deluxe Pradasphere café offering food and refreshments.
Following last year’s successful Dior takeover, plans for Pradasphere will allow visitors to immerse themselves fully in the experience. Helen David, Harrods’ fashion director said: “Pradasphere will transport our customer into the fabulous world of Prada here at Harrods, marrying two brands synonymous with luxury, design and creativity.” Fans of the label, who are legion, will be able to celebrate Prada’s history as well as the ingenuity of today in an exhilarating, grand yet intimate environment.
For those who visit with an intent to purchase, there will be an exclusive capsule collection of ready-to-wear, accessories, shoes and bags that have been inspired by Prada’s last 100 years of design – from its first leather goods to current audacious creations. Additionally, the legendary Harrods window displays will also be dedicated to Pradasphere, promoting a treasure trove of historical Prada pieces.
Certain to have a great impact on any visitor, be it industry expert or fashion novice, this collaboration will mark a historical high, both for the highly renowned label and world-famous store.
