Tod’s and travel: An evening of celebration
Tod’s and Mr Fogg’s with Charlie Gilkes invited us to an evening of fashion, bags and “chap hop” from the exclusive Gentleman Rhymer – the civilised rapper, replacing money and cars for pipe smoking and cricket.
The night included the celebration of the renowned D-Cube bag for ladies and Double Striped bag for gentlemen; their quality visible from a mile off, despite the signature cocktails available. The bags remained the stars of the evening, with guests such as Nadya Abela, Martha Ward and Hedvig Opshaug attending, flashing their very own Tod’s bags. Even the Gentleman Rhymer sported the quintessentially British theme by wearing “tan lightweight leather brogues with white sole”, showing how even the more rebellious of us can enjoy the simple pleasure of Tod’s.
The geometric shape of the bags was not accompanied by a lack of life or colour as the bags could not come in any less of a cheerful delivery; with an array of colours, sizes and even eccentric contrasts on the Double Striped option for the more daring of men out there, this celebration to an asset of Tod’s fundamental collection was most definitely an easy thing to cheer about.
Overall, the evening full of laughing, music, delightful bags and style was a great success, but what less you would expect from the famous Tod’s in the hub of their flagship store?
