Giving back with the Laura Mercier Ovarian Cancer Fund
Many of you will recognise Laura Mercier for her fabulous make-up, and while that isn’t going to change, there is some brilliant news that will surely only heighten your love for the lady behind the luxury cosmetics.
Laura Mercier has joined up with Claudia Poccia – the president on Gurwitch Products – to raise the awareness of ovarian cancer. With Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month being in March, it therefore seems only natural that the duo has decided to launch their charity – the Laura Mercier Ovarian Cancer Fund – this month.
With the UK having the 7th highest incidence of ovarian cancer in the world, the charity has produced three cosmetics in which all of the profits go towards the charity.
The Bonne Mine Healthy Glow for Face & Cheeks Crème Colour Palette is priced at £37.00, and is available throughout the year. The Kiss of Hope Lip Glacé priced at £19.00, and the Matte Radiance Healthy Glow Baked Powder & Mini Face Brush priced at £24.00, on the other hand, are both limited editions.
For the entire month of March, all Laura Mercier counters have turned teal to help bring awareness to this cause.
LMOCF has partnered with Ovarian Cancer Action, who set up the UK’s only dedicated ovarian cancer research centre in London, which focuses on improving the outlook for women with ovarian cancer. LMOCF is sponsoring research that studies the high relapse rate of the disease, while allowing you the opportunity to own a luxurious product at the same time.
