The Detox Kitchen in Soho launch evening
How many times do you arrive home, tired, stressed and hungry but don’t what know what you want to eat? Pizza and fast foods are unhealthy, but you have no intention of cooking. You want something fresh, healthy but at the same time delicious – something tasty that doesn’t ruin your diet!
The Detox Kitchen is exactly what you are looking for. No fat and no sugar, organic and biological cuisine. The food, based on fruit and vegetables, comes from local English farms. The online shop allows you to order four different packages: protein, vegan, green and green with protein offering a daily home-delivery service. Every morning you can look forward to a healthy day ahead. In fact, each package contains a meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner with the addition of some tasty snacks like nuts and seeds. The packages prices start from £29.99 to £35.99 and each has to be ordered for a minimum of five days.
Lily Simpson, the 29 year old founder, decided to open the company two years ago to promote a healthy diet. “I have always been healthy” she declares, “and nowadays in London, it is hard to sustain a nutrient-rich and well-balanced diet.”
There are still some further surprises: in fact, The Dexton Kitchen has also opened two shops, one in Knightsbridge and the other one in 10 Kingly Street, Soho. We attended the opening of the Soho outlet where we had the pleasure of trying some great food, from the cucumber juice, to pots with vegetables mixed with barleycorn and chocolate and banana cakes.
Lily Simpson has a big aim: “I want to open more shops, not only in UK but also abroad. New York is one of these places” she claimed. She believes in this project and it is already enjoying great levels of success in London. With a range of salads, teas, juices, meat, fish and coffee, The Dexton Kitchen is the place where healthy definitely meets delicious.
