Is Taylor Swift really collaborating with Kanye West?
Has the world ended? Has hell frozen over? The public/media/everyone in the world clearly thought so when Kanye West announced that he and Taylor Swift were collaborating in the studio. In a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, he talked about the reunion at the Grammys and then dropped the bombshell of the possibility of a music collaboration between the two. Taylor has yet to comment on this announcement; the history between these two hasn’t been the smoothest – it’s been the total opposite quite honestly.
The feud between them started when Kanye felt like he had to interrupt Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for the Best Music Video award at the 2009 VMAs. The award was for her song You Belong With Me, when he said: “Taylor, I’m really happy for you. I’ll let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!” This infamous speech has led to many memes being made and it still has left a scar in Swifty!
It has been speculated that Taylor is afraid of what this could do for her image, as even though she would like to mend bridges and create a new friendship she is afraid of what Kanye could possibly do. He did humiliate her in front of millions of people so there is a long way to go for any possible “friendship”, also as they are total opposites would they really sound good singing together? Who knows!
