The world’s highest paid model Gisele Bundchen is retiring from the catwalk
The world’s highest paid model Gisele Bundchen is set to retire from the catwalk after almost 20 years of reign. According to reports, the Brazilian beauty will take to the catwalk for the last time during the São Paulo Fashion Week in April, walking for native brand Colcci.
The leggy lass, who was discovered when she was just 14, has walked for almost all of the big gunners in the industry – Alexander McQueen, Versace, Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana and Victoria’s Secret – and has been the highest paid model for the past eight years thanks to her various contracts. Decreasing the number of appearances on the catwalk in the past few years, Gisele was last seen walking for Chanel in Paris and Colcci in São Paulo last year. The supermodel might be hanging up her heels and retiring from the catwalk but she will still be seen in ad campaigns and editorials.
It is speculated that Gisele will continue her work as an environmental activist, something she has been rigorously doing for the past few years. Just last year she became a board member of the Rainforest Alliance, a non-governmental organization that promotes the conservation of the world’s biodiversity. Apart from this, there are also rumours going around that the Brazilian beauty now wants to spend some time with her husband, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, and her two children, Benjamin and Vivian. Well, here’s wishing her luck for the future and we really hope she makes a comeback.
