Wardrobe inspiration: Coachella festival 2015
The phrase “I’d rather be at Coachella” has been said by every music mogul or fashion fanatic this past week. We count ourselves among those who would do anything to get a ticket to California for the festival’s final weekend of 2015 – who wouldn’t? The location is dreamy, the site is loaded with A-listers and it has an amazing line-up. If that wasn’t enough, the outfits are to die for! Instagram’s been taken over by festival fashion and it’s safe to say, Coachella has got it right. We’ve rounded up some of the best looks from our favourite celebrities that’ll get you ready for British summer time.
It’s only fitting to begin with the lady who’s often named as queen of Coachella fashion: Kate Bosworth. She reasserted her title last Sunday when she opted for an Etro jacket that had us swooning. Its coloured embroidery and intricate beading are very Navajo whilst the floral laced-sleeves added a feminine twist. Teaming this statement piece with a simple white t-shirt dress made the studded suede boots and Coach Rivet Dakotah bag perfect accessories.
Being publicly mocked by rapper Tyler the Creator on the first day of Coachella hasn’t stopped Kendall Jenner from showcasing her status as a festival fashionista. Ripped denim cut-offs are the way to do denim for spring/summer 2015; this choice set Kendall ahead of those still clinging onto their hot pants. The leather waistcoat and YSL python print boots shout boho-chic and baring her fabulous physique in a striped bikini top was the perfect way to beat the heat.
Our favourite Made in Chelsea star turned designer killed it on behalf of us Brits. Mille Mackintosh stayed away from typical summer colours here and it totally works. The lace breaks up the darkness of the playsuit whilst its off-the-shoulder neckline is the right amount of flirty. This look was topped off with a black fedora and cute plaits, which are a practical festival choice; Millie was able to rock out without having to worry about her hair being a mess!
Chiara Ferragni proved once again that she’s worthy of being the most renowned fashion blogger with this high street co-ord! The ditsy floral print gives the two-piece a playful touch and creates a colourful contrast against its black base. Her wide-brimmed sun hat added elegance to the otherwise casual look. We think Chiara’s purposely “worn and torn” Chanel bag tied the different dimensions of the outfit together.
