Kopecky at Mercury Lounge

Kopecky kicked off their two day stay in New York with a show at Lower East Side’s Mercury Lounge. In the midst of a countdown to May 19^th, the release date of their sophomore album, Drug for the Modern Age, this indie rock band from Nashville jammed to a setlist of old hits from Kids Raising Kids and new songs from the upcoming album in a performance packed with energy.

Strutting in with a well-deserved reputation for stellar live performances, they continued to live up to that reputation. Performing on the Mercury Lounge’s small, intimate stage built for the comforts of a five-member band, this six-member band not only performed a set, they put on a show. 

Dancing and expressing a natural exuberance to the music, the Kopecky bandmates showed how they’re as much a fan of their songs as the crowd there to see them. Operating like a well-oiled machine, the band used every square inch of that stage to dance around, shuffle in and out instruments during songs and throw passion into each and every chord and note performed.

Make it a point to see Kopecky live. By being engaging, passionate and clearly having fun up on stage, Kopecky brings an exciting heartbeat to the stage.
