CFDA Fashion Awards 2015: Red carpet
Dubbed as the fashion industry’s very own Oscars, the CFDA awards recognise the leading names of the US fashion world. It is a night where the designers shine right alongside their muses and therefore it is hardly surprising that the red carpet for the biggest awards ceremony of the industry was filled with stars dressing to impress. Here’s our pick of the best dressed of the night.
Leading the red carpet elegance was former High School Musical actress-turned-leading Broadway star in the revival of Gigi, Vanessa Hudgens. The 26-year-old stunned in a satin navy Sachin and Babi Noir dress. The dress which comes straight from the designer’s Noir resort 2016 collection, features a dipped hem and pleated skirt, making it an elegant choice for the actress.
Another star opting for all out glamour on the red carpet was model Gigi Hadid in a gold sequined Ralph Lauren jumpsuit. The 20-year-old stunned in the bronze-embellished jumpsuit that showcased her enviable runway figure. She wore metallic rose and silver eye shadows that complimented her fair complexion and had her blonde tresses in loose waves to complete the look.
Diane Kruger was another star turning heads at the awards in a Prabal Gurung off-the-shoulder black and red gown split to the thigh, which she paired with strappy black heels. The bold red sequined dress was a bold choice and a welcome change from her much-loved designer, Chanel.
Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev was another attendee to pull out all the stops for one of fashion’s biggest nights as she walked the red carpet in a beautiful metallic crop top and elegant feathered skirt by Lela Rose. Dobrev completed the look by pairing ethereal hair and make-up with a bold cat eye.
Finally former Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer, Victoria Beckham proved her style credentials on the red carpet in one of her own designs from the pre-spring/summer 2016 collection. The 41-year-old showcased her figure in a black gown with a loose-fitted bodice and a plunging neckline as she attended the ceremony in New York City.
