Emma Stone has quickly become one of Hollywood’s leading ladies, with a string of movies under her belt, including the likes of The Help, Crazy Stupid Love, and The Amazing Spider-Man, and upcoming release Aloha. The American starlet’s impressive film career mirrors her performance on the red carpet. Like her ever-changing hair colour, Stone is never one to play it safe, opting for bold colours and striking cuts but these are fashion risks that always seem to pay off. She’s mastered the art of red carpet dressing, favouring sophisticated and perfectly put-together looks, calling on the likes of designers, such as Chanel, Tom Ford, Lanvin and Versace.
At the Golden Globe Awards in 2011, Stone proved less really is more in a coral floor length cap sleeved Calvin Klein Collection gown. The dress oozed simplicity, featuring a high neckline and a cut out back whilst Stone accessorised with jewellery by Bulgari to make this a winning look.
Wearing one of her favourite designers, Stone wowed in a Tom Ford black peplum detail dress at the Crazy, Stupid, Love premiere in 2011. The guipure lace dress was completed with a velvet ribbon, showcasing her flawless figure and tiny waist. Her red hair was perfectly curled and styled to one side, creating an effortless screen-siren retro hairstyle whilst a matching deep red lip and Christian Louboutin metallic heels finished the look to perfection.
Emma Stone proved she is never one to play it safe as she wore a sequinned black Elie Saab jumpsuit to The Amazing Spider-Man premiere in London in 2012. Stone kept the jumpsuit feminine with a plunging neckline and sequin embellishments, making this another standout red carpet look.
The 27-year-old actress looked stunning as she attended the premiere of Birdman at the 71st Venice International Film Festival in Italy, in a plunging tulle emerald green Valentino Couture gown. The deep green dress complemented her red locks to perfection, whilst she kept accessories simple with Jimmy Choo heels and a gold clutch.
Walking the red carpet for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 premiere in London last year, Stone stunned in a canary yellow Atelier Versace dress, adorned with an array of Swarovski crystals. The custom made gown featured a pleated open-back, whilst the waistband nipped in at the waist creating a subtle blouse effect. Working classic old-Hollywood waves, Stone completed the look with a David Webb emerald and gold necklace and a fuchsia pink lip that contrasted perfectly with the bold dress.
At the 2014 Met Gala in New York, Emma Stone gave a lesson in colour blocking in this gorgeous two-piece pink and magenta gown by designer Thakoon. The custom made tailored cropped halter top with a crisscross back was effortlessly contrasted with the flowing wrap skirt, which trailed behind the star. She accessorised with a metallic and magenta clutch and a chunky side braid.
Finally the redheaded beauty stunned at this year’s Oscars in a long-sleeved, chartreuse custom Elie Saab gown complete with a thigh high slit. The embellished pale green gown featured a high neckline and a scooped back for an added touch of class.
