Nails Inc. launches spray-on nail polish
If your need for a perfect manicure is ruined by a lack of time or artistic talent (smudges and splodges? We’ve all been there), then Nails Inc. has got just the thing for you.
The London-based brand has just released a spray-on nail polish, which comes in a can and works very much like spray-paint.
This innovative new way to paint your nails has already stirred up excitement across the world, earning the support of Alexa Chung, who has appeared in some of the first images of the product. The whole idea, according to Nails Inc., is that the spray-on container (known as the Paint Can) will make home-manicures quick and easy.
And, if they are to be believed, the whole process really is the definition of “quick” and “easy”.
It goes like this: first, cover the surface you’re working on with newspaper (unless you want randomly spray-painted furniture). Then simply apply a base coat, shake the Paint Can and spray over your fingertips for around 20 seconds. Of course, there will be a bit of a mess around your fingers and cuticles, but because the spray-on polish is designed to adhere only to the base coat, you should be able to wash any excess off quite easily with water or even face wipes.
Finish with a topcoat, and you’re done. Nails Inc. has dubbed the phenomenon “the world’s fastest manicure,” and it sounds like they might be right. The spray-on can means no more struggling with a brush and your non-dominant hand (or indeed with your dominant hand, for those of us who are not artistically inclined).
The drying time for the spray on formula is also apparently much quicker than that of a more traditional polish, which is ideal if you need a manicure, but also need to be able to use your hands straight after.
Over in America, Nail Inc.’s latest creation has caused such a stir that they’ve had to launch a waiting list ahead of the product’s US launch in the March of next year.
Fortunately for us, here in the UK spray-on polish is already available to purchase, albeit in only two colours – a hot pink shade entitled Hoxton Market, and a reflective silver called Shoreditch Lane. However, there are already plans to introduce more colours over the next few months, and we predict that it won’t be long before Nails Inc. releases an entire range of the quick, easy Paint Cans.
