H&M launches Conscious Beauty
If you think about ethical and sustainable beauty products your mind might first go to Lush or The Body Shop, but from now on you can do your beauty shopping in between fittings at none other than H&M.
H&M is a constant name when it comes to affordable, ethical and sustainable fashion. Their sustainable clothing lines are well-established but now the label is branching out into beauty as well. Conscious Beauty has been designed to complement H&M’s Conscious Fashion collection but fits right in with all of their cruelty-free beauty products.
H&M introduced their first beauty line this past year so it was to be expected that a Conscious range was soon to follow. “We already offer conscious choices with our fashion collections so it is natural for us to have the same offering within our beauty collection,” H&M beauty concept designer Sara Wallander stated.
The Conscious Beauty collection is a complete body and haircare collection consisting of 30 different products, including oils, masks, creams and more. H&M doesn’t beat around the bush with these products. They come in stylishly minimalistic tubes and bottles in primary colours and soft pastels. Not only do they look appealing; all containers are recyclable – H&M really has thought about everything with this line.
Conscious Beauty is Ecocert approved meaning the products consist of at least 95% natural products and at least 10 out of the ingredients have been grown organically. “We always aim to develop our products to high and responsible standards in both materials and production. With the Conscious range we have taken this philosophy even further,” Wallander states. As the products are all very budget friendly you can literally enjoy every single aspect of this new product line.
Though the collection does not seem to be on the H&M UK website at the moment it can be expected to hit stores soon.
