H&M unveils eco-friendly wedding dresses
H&M has included a gorgeous bridal range for its upcoming Conscious Collection available from 5th April.
Just in time for wedding season, the Scandinavian retailer is offering stunning selections of wedding dresses. Any blushing bride-to-be can walk down the aisle with a guilt-free conscience, wearing a dress made out of eco-friendly materials.
The dresses convey a hint of haute couture with timeless silhouettes combined with modern environmentally conscious fabrication.
“Working with innovative sustainable materials and ornate embellishment, the collection is a layering of references, shapes and textures topped off by intensely decorative accessories and deco-inspired bijoux,” says H&M’s creative advisor Ann-Sofie Johansson.
For traditionalists: a high-neck lace gown with long romantic sleeves created from organic silk and viscose might just be the dress for you.
Alternatively, you may opt for art deco-like embellishments made of recycled mixed glass and rhinestones suitable for unconventional free-spirited bohemian brides.
Or perhaps you are a minimalist beauty, searching for something contemporary with a clean aesthetic. Whichever style you prefer, you will exude graceful elegance on your very special day.
In addition to H&M, ASOS has recently recognised an opportunity to fill the gap in mid-range bridal wear. The price point is ideal for the budget conscious so-called millennial demographic. One may argue that the attitude of today’s 18 to 36-year-olds towards conventional weddings has shifted. Indulging less on extravagance and focusing more on the experience means that high street retailers harbour great potential to surge in the affordable bridal market sector.
