Pretty Green launch new Jimi Hendrix inspired collection
Pretty Green, the brainchild of ex Oasis singer Liam Gallagher, has launched a new collection inspired by Jimi Hendrix. The autumn/winter collection is yet another bid to celebrate and immortalise the late great Hendrix, world renowned guitarist and fashion icon.
Held at their flagship store in Carnaby Street, this exclusive event was a living montage to the legend himself, with memorable pictures, records and footage adorned around the store.
The pieces boasted bold psychedelic and bandana-style patterns of purples and blue, sharp and decorated with Prince of Wales prints of greys and T-shirts with fearless colourful graphics. Ranging from the smart to the casual, the collection merges the modern era with a 70s twist. You can’t help but wondering if this is what Mr Hendrix would have worn: he probably would have.
Guests were serenaded outside the store by a Hendrix look-alike and entertained in store by the smooth sounds of an exclusive DJ. The store was buzzing with those eager to get first glimpse and grabs of the collection. Visitors were also gifted with a free limited edition seven-inch vinyl of Voodoo Child (one of the guitarist’s greatest hits), a Jimi Hendrix tote bag and lookbook.
