Libertine spring/summer 2017 collection catwalk show for NYFW
On 12th September, guests started gathering at Skylight Clarkson Square to be a part of highly anticipated and usually vibrant SS17 runway show of Libertine and its creative designer Johnson Hartig. The brand didn’t disappoint and delivered a colour-exposed, energetic and fun collection. In his work the designer and his team used graphic illuminations teamed with sublime screen-printing techniques which made it look funky and avant-grade at the same time.
Models were carrying totes with fresh colors matching the details on their stockings and dresses and clutches were made in collaboration of Judith Leiber x Libertine.
First launched in 2001, Libertine quickly became a global brand well known among celebrities for its revolutionary approach to modern fashion. Inspired by his experiences and adventures in life, the designer brings to the runway a combination high and low, high-end and mass fashion.
During these 15 years since the first launch, Hartig collaborated with such hig- end designers as Goyard as well as mass mega department store as Target. His line represents first art then fashion.
However, being a fashion brand, Libertine followed the trend and presented the models wearing adorably furry heels and slides for men. Coloured as a rainbow, they were sweeping the floors of the runways and were impossible to take eyes off. The finale of the show seemed like the guests and models could not contain themselves and after watching the cascade of colors, everybody merged into one wild bright party.
