The Wunderbrow revolution
Most of us are guilty of over-plucking our eyebrows, especially those who grew up in the 90s when astonishingly thin, rainbow-shaped brows were all the range. It is safe to say things have changed since then, and bold brows are the way forward.
Any beauty enthusiast has probably heard of Wunderbrow by now, and we couldn’t wait to get our hands on this one-step brow beautifier. Whether you have sparse or over-plucked eyebrows, or are just fed up with products that don’t last a full day, this clever formula could be your answer. Priced at £19.95, Wunderbrow is available in five shades: blonde, brunette, auburn, black/brown (pictured) and jet black.
The coloured gel contains a blend of hair-like fibres that lock on to skin and hair, adding a welcome dose of volume and definition. Transfer-proof and waterproof, Wunderbrow also covers any greys, so it works as a great anti-ageing product, too. The biggest bonus? It lasts for days!
To apply, clean and dry eyebrows and the surrounding area. Begin by filling in sparse spots with short feathery strokes – we recommend using an angled brush for precision. For a bolder look, simply use the wand straight over the entire brow. Once the desired shape is obtained, it is important to soften the brows by grooming upwards and outwards with the spoolie provided.
The formula turns slightly waxy as it dries, helping it to cling to every hair for a completely seamless, natural finish. We were really pleased to find that Wunderbrow fulfilled its claims and lasted for a number of days, with only a couple of quick touch-ups needed. It is definitely a low maintenance product.
Without doubt, Wunderbrow offers some serious brow game, and holds an advantage over pencils and powders, due to its dimensional appearance and incredibly long wear.
