Two thirds of Britons worry their faces are showing signs of ageing
Skincare company Remescar have recently launched their Eye Bags and Dark Circles cream, which promises to transform under-eyes in just two minutes. The product uses Eyesyl – a new skin tightening technology based on clay minerals and peptides – to instantly decrease water accumulation and diminish puffy eyes.
To coincide with the launch, Remescar surveyed a total of 2,198 people to learn about their various beauty regimes and thoughts on the ageing process.
Interviewees were asked “Do you worry that your face is showing signs of ageing?” to which 63% admitted that they did. They were then asked if they had ever done anything to combat the signs of ageing and almost half (47%) confessed they had. The most popular treatments were:
1. Anti-ageing creams – 51%
2. Using teabags on eyelids for a short time – 40%
3. Daily moisturising and exfoliating – 33%
4. Facial exercises and stretches – 32%
5. Dry skin replenishment using extra-virgin olive oil – 11%
However, when asked whether they felt any of these beauty hacks had worked in making them look younger, 45% admitted that they “had worked temporarily”, whilst 41% stated “no” and just 14% answered “yes”.
Remescar is now hoping their innovative eye cream will top the anti-ageing charts and help the many women left disappointed, and out of pocket, by other products on the high street.
Carien Veldhuis, marketing manager at Remescar, commented: “We’re incredibly excited to launch the Remescar Eye Bags and Dark Circles cream to the UK market. Gone are the days of using tea bags and olive oil to make our faces look younger; ditch the eye bags and the dark circles and, in just a couple of minutes, you’ll knock years off your age.”
