US burger sensation BurgerFi opens flagship London joint
BurgerFi, founded in South Florida and one of the fastest growing burger chains in the US, has opened its flagship London joint in Woburn Place. The famous Miami chain brings a welcome freshness to the UK burger scene with its “better burger” concept.
Partnering with leading “green” British chef Arthur Potts Dawson to help with the UK expansion, this is more than just another burger chain from America. The restaurant opening is led by son of Rolling Stones’ guitarist Ronnie Wood, Jamie Wood and hospitality veteran, Constantine Kulukundis of Chinawhite.
Each menu item is made to order and cooked in less than one minute. The chefs on site cut, chop, mix and prepare all their ingredients daily and each item is served at the optimum freshness. With ingredients sourced in the UK and meat for their hot dogs from Cobble Lane Cured, BurgerFi are devoted to working with a select group of farmers and suppliers that offer the best possible produce.
On the menu, expect lots of delicious gourmet variations of the classic burger including The CEO Burger, which contains a double Wagyu beef and brisket blend patty, homemade candied bacon-tomato jam, truffle aioli and aged Swiss cheese. We tried it and it’s delicious.
Bringing the American breakfast to London, enjoy the Breakfast All Day Burger which consists of a natural Angus burger, American cheese, bacon, maple syrup, a fried egg, a hash brown, grilled onions and ketchup. For the best of both why not tuck into the Conflicted Burger served up with a natural Angus patty and a veggie patty, American and white cheese, lettuce, tomato and their special BurgerFi sauce.
Offering a large, delectable selection of vegetarian options, the Vegefi Burger complete with a patty made from crispy quinoa can be enjoyed on a multigrain bun or “green style” on lettuce.
Hand-cut fries come with a variety of toppings such as salt and vinegar, Parmesan and herb, chilli and cheese and Cajun, the perfect accompaniment to their juicy mouth watering burgers. What makes these fries so special is the method by which they are prepared, the potatoes are left at 26 degrees for 3 weeks in order to remove all the sugar, they are then hand cut and rinsed, blanched to order, cooled to room temperature and then refried to order.
In true BurgerFi fashion, the new site features sustainable restaurant décor and they look forward to welcoming Londoners to the flagship joint.
