Once Vintage, a brand new take on a vintage wardrobe
Molly Hoeltke is the talented mind behind the American online store Once Vintage. This dreamy label stemmed from Molly’s passion for editorial and conceptual styling. After noticing a consistency in her work, she decided that she would use this as basis for her very own label. Believing very much in the designer being the brand, she wanted to evoke a sense of nostalgia whilst still creating a modern collection that was easy to relate to.
In creating Once Vintage, she did just that. The label is a sustainable fashion company which features one-of-a-kind pieces and vintage reconstructions. Taking inspiration from everything around her, from nature and day-dreaming to creation and story-telling, Molly ensures she thinks about the whole woman that she is creating for. Taking her lifestyle into consideration, her ideas portray a fun and multi-faceted approach to life in order to inspire her customers too.
What really makes Once Vintage so special is the construction process. Each garment made is environmentally safe and created with 99% recycled materials to create updated and couture designs. Each piece is carefully hand-made and completely one-of-a-kind, making each purchase truly unmatchable.
When browsing her online collections, it is so refreshing to see such a unique take to vintage pieces. My special picks have to be the truly beautiful “Lala” black structure bodysuit at $109.99, the “India” vintage 1970s tie-dye leggings for $74.99 and the “Carli” vintage 1950s tan linen dress $64.99. With international delivery to the UK too, I think it’s safe to say Once Vintage is my new favourite.
After an overwhelming response to the label, Molly has started expanding her ideas into sustainable production using organic fabrics. The next few months are going to be exciting ones for this label, so keep your eyes peeled – and why don’t pick yourself an adorable piece for your wardrobe? Visit Molly’s website here.
