Electronic Sheep: the patterned knitwear label that will make you sheepish with desire
The two talented faces behind graphically patterned knitwear label Electronic Sheep are Brenda Aherne and Helen Delany. They are a spirited Irish design duo who have been established since 1999 and are based in London (Helen) and Dublin (Brenda).
Between them they have researched alternative methods and techniques in contemporary knitwear and design. Their label, Electronic Sheep, is the success of their hard work and it is unique with accessories you would struggle to find in a high street store.
Specialising in accessories, particularly hats and scarves, seems a bit inappropriate right now considering the blazing hot weather, but we won’t need to suggest to you that you purchase one when you see for yourself how distinctive they are. This scarf looks like a casual loose fit suited to anything.
As you can see, scarves are mainly of a light material so they are the ideal accessory for summer, complementing any outfit. This is one of our favourites because it is so bold and very colourful.
The current collection is called A House of Many Mansions and is an assortment of pastel and candy coloured patterned accessories. Here at The Upcoming we are pleased to know that they are mainly oversized and unconventional shaped scarves. We love alternative accessories! This one would look great with a loose t-shirts and leggings.
A House of Many Mansions is inspired by “the notion of an idle life of splendour” and is expressed through their signature graphic style with patterns and forms. Now we know where the name Electronic Sheep came from! This collection is eclectic and visually creative with a particularly bold use of colour. Even the titles are quirky, with names such as Eccentricity City and The Alchemist’s Foxtrot.
