How to prepare your wardrobe for autumn
Summer days are almost gone and we are ready to welcome the autumn/winter season 2018, so we must be prepared with the latest in beauty and fashion to stand out from the rest.
Low temperatures and drizzles are part of the landscape of this time of the year that is quite cold, but this is no excuse to leave aside the glamour and style.
Light clothing is no longer enough and it is time to wear jackets and coats for the low temperatures and make the transition from summer to autumn. Find out what would be the trends this season.
Trends
The combination of metallic pieces, layers, mix and match of prints and daring sets are still something that everyone is talking about. Without forgetting to be warm with cosy clothes that make us feel safe and comfortable at the same time.
Others are creating glamorous forms inspired by the 70s and 90s creating a balance between two iconic decades, using the imagination to bring out the personality that defines them before the world.
Metallic outfits
Achieving a new look with this outfits will simplify the task of moving from day to night without needing to change your cloth.
Coats
Without a doubt, it is the piece in which you must invest; the coldest days will come covered with fur coats, but if you want a good plan b, you could try to dress “layered”, ie, short-sleeved shirt with a sweatshirt over an overcoat, for example.
In this way, if we go from cold to warmth in a short time, we can get rid of the upper layers. Same works vice versa.
Prints
The trite idea of not wearing flower prints in autumn is in the past. Tropical motifs prints become a must-wear. The secret is to combine them as you like until you reach unique combinations that satisfy your sense of originality without falling into excesses.
The decade
Two periods have been fought like a duel at this year’s shows (the 70s for the formal wardrobe and the 90s for the casual). Your looks should include jackets, raise your jeans and bell them slightly, and even incorporate leather. If you prefer to be more relaxed, large silhouettes and urbanwear will flood your wardrobe with some straight Topshop jeans and zippered sweatshirts.
Transparent outfits
Last year transparency became one of the key trends for any fashion enthusiast. However, in this new season, completely transparent outfits (those that leave nothing to the imagination) will be the protagonists of winter.
Pants
The essential piece of any wardrobe that will completely change its silhouette. The low waist practically disappears to make way for the high waists, usually with wide and narrow folds and legs.
Shoes
Last but not least you must know what shoes to wear this season. White sneakers are the ones that have travelled the most kilometres on all the international fashion catwalks.
Of course, not everything will be casual shoes, boots will seize the shoemakers, cordoned to combine with suits or the inevitable over-the-knee boots, which is a sexy complement that creates a very long leg effect that triumphs in any look.
These boots are perfect to combine with knitted and boho dresses. Black tones will trend in this autumn-winter season. If you are an It-Girl, you cannot miss musketeer boots in your closet.
And what about you? What will be your favourite fashion trend for the upcoming autumn?
