Gwyneth Paltrow’s brand Goop opens pop-up store in London
In 2008, actress and lifestyle guru, Gwyneth Paltrow started a weekly newsletter from the kitchen of her London home covering all things health and lifestyle related and called it, Goop. It seems only fitting that exactly 10 years later, following her move back across the pond to the US and the opening of Goop’s first store there last year, the lifestyle brand is returning home. That’s right, Goop has opened a pop-up store right in the heart of London’s Notting Hill.
On entering the store you are greeted by an assemblage of plants and small trees, it’s a calming and inviting atmosphere that clever imitates the idea of the outdoors, indoors. Once inside you can expect to find an array of Goop items for sale including make-up and skincare products, homeware and clothing.
The stylish boutique has been beautifully transformed with a modern, Californian theme by the highly sought after interior design company, Fran Hickman. Downstairs, where you’ll find the sportswear, a plush blue carpet has been laid and the walls painted the same calming shade that’s reminiscent of the ocean. It’s a stark contrast to the light wood shelving and gold painted walls throughout the rest of the store. That being said, it works fantastically well combined and creates the sense that you’re in a much warmer, carefree climate.
Fans of the Goop brand will want to move quickly to get their hands on these luxury products whilst they’re here. The store on Westbourne Grove is now open but will be closing its doors 27th January 2019.
