Skincare routine every dad should follow
Now that your son and daughter are attending school, you may have to go to their annual function and watch them perform on stage. You wouldn’t want to go with a sunburnt face and dark circles. Kids look up to their dads, and you need to ensure that your kids are happy and willing to introduce you to their friends and their parents. But the daily office stress often takes a toll on you and your face reveals the tension and anxiety you must go through at work. You can put an end to these woes by following a simple skincare routine.
Cleansing and moisturising your face
Cleansing your face with a facial wash removes the dust and dirt that accumulates throughout the day. However, don’t use a bar of soap to wash your face. Use a dedicated face wash that has essential oils in its ingredients. A herbal face wash will be ideal to deep cleanse your face, leaving it clean and refreshed. Splash warm water on your face and wait for a couple of minutes. Take a few drops of the cleansing face wash and rub it on your face with your eyes closed. Clean the areas around the temple as they contain a lot of sticky dust. Allow the face wash to settle down for a few minutes before washing your face with warm water.
Once you finish washing your face, pat it dry with a soft towel. Now take a moisturiser and apply it on your face. This will soften your facial skin and keep it fresh. Your men’s grooming kit should have a deep cleansing face wash and a moisturiser to ensure that your face doesn’t have sticky dirt around.
Get rid of dark circles
Dark circles can change your appearance completely. They make you look overworked, and that’s not how you would like to go out with your kids. An easy way to deal with dark circles around your eyes is to apply a few drops of almond oil before going to sleep at night. Massage the oil on and around the dark circles and leave it overnight. Wash your face in the morning and repeat this routine every night to keep dark circles away. Almonds are a rich source of vitamin E and have emollient properties that help to get soft and supple skin.
Remove sunburns from your cheeks
Sunburns are common, especially when you are in a job that keeps you out of a covered office for long periods. Your cheeks and nose will redden as the sun’s rays hit your face directly. This can slowly turn the natural complexion of your face to red if you don’t do anything about it. The easiest solution is to peel a raw potato, cut a few thin slices and rub them on the sunburned areas. Potato has natural bleaching agents that can keep sunburns away successfully.
Your kids and your coworkers will be surprised at the transformation after you follow this skincare routine. A little bit of care for your skin can go a long way to become popular among the parents in your kid’s school.
