Style file: Jodie Comer
After gaining critical acclaim for her breakout performance as the glamorous assassin Villanelle in Killing Eve, Jodie Comer has found worldwide success with a string of acting nominations and awards.
The 27-year-old Liverpudlian actress has been busy making a name for herself in the world of fashion too, recently gracing the coveted cover of Vogue for the first time this April. We’ve rounded up some of her best red carpet looks to date.
At the 2017 BAFTA Television Awards in London, Comer shone in a pillarbox red pleated gown complete with a plunging V-neckline by Italian fashion designer, Alberta Ferretti. She completed the look with simple diamond encrusted earrings and matching bracelets, lightly tousled waves and a nude lip, letting the show-stopping dress take all the focus.
Another standout look came when Comer donned a pink sequinned Temperley London dress at the Three Empire Awards in London. The floor length gown was embellished with a selection of embroidered flowers, amping up the wow factor.
At Stylist’s inaugural Remarkable Women Awards held in London in 2019, Comer turned heads in a double-breasted cream power suit by Casely-Hayford. She added a pop of colour to an otherwise simple and classic look with a statement necklace in rainbow diamonds.
Attending her first Golden Globes in 2019, Comer was styled by her long-time stylist Elizabeth Saltzman and opted for a dramatic black tulle Ralph & Russo dress, in a subtle nod to her onscreen character in Killing Eve. She paired the embellished number with Stuart Weitzman heels and a Jimmy Choo clutch.
After scooping the gong for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series at the 71st Emmy Awards last year, Comer posed on the red carpet in a Tom Ford white wrap dress with a thigh high slit. She styled her honey blonde hair in a half-up, half-down style by Mark Townsend and kept her makeup sultry with a gold, bronzed smokey eye that matched her nude lip perfectly.
Comer gave everyone a lesson in ruffles at the BAFTA Tea Party in Los Angeles in January this year. She wore a stunning fuchsia pussybow blouse by Prabal Gurung and high-waisted black tailored trousers, finishing the look off with a pair of matching pink jewel encrusted heels.
