Bao’s much-loved Bao Bakery Goods will receive a tongue-in-cheek Easter makeover this year, with Easter Chick Baos. Each kit (£16) can be ordered from Bao’s Convni store, a digital supermarket inspired by 7-Eleven convenience chain, and features two yellow chick and two white chick baos. Filled with molten chocolate and salted egg, the buns will be delivered ready to be unboxed and steamed at home. StarChef’s Easter Lunch by Tom Aitkens
StarChef has announced its next at-home Easter dining experience, a collaboration with Michelin-starred British chef Tom Aitkens. Available for nationwide delivery from 1st-3rd April, the ultimate family sharing menu is the perfect way to celebrate Easter at home with your loved ones. Available to pre-order now from the StarChefs website, Aitken’s box will include four courses of skilfully prepared, highly seasonal dishes to offer a modern interpretation of the traditional Easter lunch. Roast by The Loveable Rogue
Have a stress-free Easter Sunday with the ultimate Easter Sunday roast. Choose from a traditional chicken or beef roast with a hearty springtime meal. The Lovable Rogue’s beef option begins with caramelised cauliflower and apple velouté with curry oil and fresh apple; Speyside beef sirloin with red wine gravy; cauliflower cheese with a cheddar cheese and herb crumb; roast potatoes with beef fat, garlic and rosemary; honey-glazed root vegetables, chantenay carrots and tenderstem broccoli; vegetable écrasé with celeriac, carrot, chives and carrot crumb and Yorkshire puddings. The nation’s seafood sweetheart, Rick Stein, has launched a very special celebratory Easter menu. With fish traditionally served on Good Friday, the Stein’s at Home menu centres around the bounties of British waters. The menu – which feeds two – includes classic salmon gravadlax from famed Forest of Dean smokery Severn & Wye alongside horseradish cream and sourdough, then a whole dover sole (one per person) with beurre noisette and minted baby potatoes. To finish the feast it’s chocolate pavé with crystallised peanuts and Cornish clotted cream. Hot Cross Bacon Buns by Le Swine x Nicola Lamb
Le Swine and baking maestro Puff the Bakery’s Nicola Lamb have partnered together to create the ultimate hot-cross-bacon-bun DIY kit, merging together both of their secret recipes. The kit – including four buns – is £15 and champions a mixture of fruity flavours with good old-fashioned middle bacon, bacon butter and a house-special date, fennel and Aleppo chilli ketchup. Nicola Lamb is the co-founder of Puff the Bakery and is well known for her past work at Dominique Ansel Bakery and Ottolenghi. She has designed a special hot cross bun which is made with a rich spice infusion, fresh zest, lots of butter and plump soaked fruit. Tuck into this showstopping Easter meal with succulent roasted rolled shoulder of Herdwick lamb. Swap the bog-standard mint sauce for a zingy salsa verde and the tastiest sides: silky creamed mash, roasted carrots, crispy burnt hispi cabbage, spring onion butter and crispy shallots. In true Top Cuvée fashion, their Easter Menu is a timeless spread with none of the fuss but some cool upgrades. Start with asparagus, wild garlic and Berkswell before tucking into the main event with your choice of roast lamb shoulder, whole roast chicken or artichoke and courgette quiche. Sides are no way side-lined, including dauphinoise potatoes, baked Roscoff onions and thyme and a warm spring vegetable and mint salad. The Sicilian Easter Roast Box by Norma
Norma, London’s contemporary Sicilian restaurant, are running a traditional Italian Easter menu of their classic sharing dishes – perfect for friends and family. Available for two or four people (£140 and £180) the box starts with antipasti such as focaccia and olives and burrata, datterini tomato with almond, tomato and coriander seed pesto. For primi, it’s fresh pasta with asparagus, peas, pecorino and basil, followed by spiced lamb shoulder roasted and stuffed with courgette, wild rice, pistachio pesto and herbs. There are sides of rosemary and garlic potatoes and spring greens with chilli and preserved lemon. To finish, chef Ben Tish has whipped up the Sicilian classic, cassata Siciliana, with marsala and marzipan fruits. The Game Bird at The Stafford’s Roast Box
The Game Bird at The Stafford Hotel is known for its modern British comfort dishes executed with style and panache, served in a seductive ambience that oozes cool sophistication. While they’re still closed, this Easter you can bring a taste of The Game Bird home, and celebrate with their special roast, which serves two people for £100. The box contains soda bread and butter and H Forman & Son’s smoked salmon alongside all the traditional trimmings: British grass-fed roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Nutshell Covent Garden, the fine-dining Iranian restaurant, have created a special at home Nowruz box with a menu that celebrates Persian age-old tradition marking spring equinox and the season of rebirth and renewal. The Nowruz Feast Box for two includes: Kuku Sabzi with pistachio, barberries and minted sumac yoghurt – a herb-filled frittata, pan-fried chalk stream river trout with soubise, confit fennel, albaloo, pistachio and preserved lemon butter, the famous Iranian rice dish, saffron tahchin with gremolata, candied tangerine rind and rose, and to end things on a sweet note Iranian baghlava with rhubarb, almond and pistachio, cardamom and rose syrup and clotted cream. Iberica at Home’s Spanish Feast Box
Head to the med for Easter this year with Iberica and their Spanish Feast box. Featuring tender milk-fed, oven-roasted lamb as a majestic centrepiece to the rest of the feast, guests can enjoy bread and extra virgin olive oil, Torreznos and Manzanilla olives, toasted bread with tomato with a selection of five different cheeses, Juan Pedro Domecq 100% Ibérico bellota ham, tomato, avocado and basil salad, roasted onion petals and Cantabrian sea anchovies, Gamba Blanca de Huelva, Ibérica Pulpo, and if there’s room after that, to finish there’s the classic Gloria cheesecake. Selfridges have launched two new experience boxes for the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.The Bank Holiday Breakfast box includes everything you need to create a delicious breakfast of hot cross buns and eggs benedict. There is also a box of chocolate eggs and an Easter Egg Hunt kit which is perfect for little ones. The Indulgent Bank Holiday Feast box includes a three-course meal, prepped by Selfridges in-house chefs. To start, a seasonal dish of English asparagus and soft-boiled Clarence Court eggs. To follow, a choice of mains: either duck confit or wild garlic and truffle gnocchi or for vegetarians, gnocchi and spring vegetables. To finish, chocolate fondant topped with crème fraiche and slices of orange. To drink, there is a beautiful bottle of Selfridges organic red wine and for an extra-special touch, the box also includes a menu for the table, bespoke name cards and dinner candles. London Stock’s Easter Sunday meal boxes
London Stock are on a mission to deliver a much-deserved, delicious Easter Sunday to South West Londoners through the launch of their luxury Easter Sunday meal boxes. Championing seasonal British produce with an extra dash of springtime indulgence, the boxes include three indulgent courses and are priced at £45 per person. Expect to find starters of duck liver or mushroom parfait served with cherry jelly and a brioche bun. This is followed up by a feast of slow-cooked minted lamb shank or, for those with a real hunger the showstopping centerpiece is wellington of beef or hay-baked celeriac. Each main is supported by side dishes of seasonal root vegetables including truffled potato dauphinoise and pickled hispi cabbage. Lyle’s Easter Meal Kits
This April Lyle’s, the Michelin-starred British restaurant in Shoreditch founded by James Lowe, will be delivering Easter Meal Kits (£140) across the country, each filled with seasonal dishes for a celebratory Easter Sunday lunch. Available to pre-order from Monday 15th March and arriving on Friday 2nd April, each parcel will contain a feast for two, beginning with the restaurant’s sourdough bread and cultured butter, and a dish of mussels, cider and leeks. Next, there will be prized spears of delicate white asparagus, whey butter and bottarga, and for the main, a nod to traditional Easter lamb: Welsh mountain mutton, Yukon Gold potatoes, and wild garlic. Bocca de Lupo’s Easter Feast
This Easter, Soho favourite Bocca di Lupo have created an Easter feast inspired by the animals of the spring. The four course menu starts with home-made Coppa (cured pork neck) with peas and pecorino followed by orzotto with braised Easter Bunny and wild garlic. The main event is Spring Lamb: a honey marinated boneless leg of lamb, garlic and rosemary, along with roast potatoes and onions as well as roman and lemon dressing. The Galvin At Home delivery box is the perfect way to celebrate the Easter weekend with a restaurant quality meal at home, that won’t take hours to put together in the kitchen. Nibbles of Nocellara olives come with home baked rosemary focaccia followed by velouté of broad beans, poached duck egg, crispy shallots and pea shoots. The main course is a choice of roast rump of spring lamb, crushed Jersey royals and wild garlic pesto or a vegetarian option of spring white truffle gnocchi, white asparagus and wild mushroom purée. Townsend’s Easter Feast begins with starters to share including their soda bread with Paddock Farm pork rillette, goats curd and spiced walnuts along with Townsend seasonal pickles and ferments. The main dish is a butterflied and marinated leg of lamb with Jersey Royal potatoes with caramelised onion capers, olives and rosemary served with steamed asparagus with fresh curd and smoked almonds. Those looking for vegetarian option can swap out the lamb for a warming lentil and roast root vegetable cottage pie. To finish there is rhubarb and almond tart with creme fraiche. Officina 00’s Easter menu
This Easter, head chef Elia Sebregondi and the team at Officina 00 have created a special cook at home feast combining typical Easter dishes to celebrate the Italian way. The menu will start with a Castatiello (a ring-shaped stuffed bread, traditionally made on Good Friday) with burrata and broad beans, followed by lasagna Emilia and a ragu bolognese. The main event is Lamb cutlets with rosemary and confit garlic butter served alongside roasted potatoes, artichokes and a green salad. To finish is a Pastiera, made with ricotta & candied orange peel. Originally from Naples, the sweet treat has become a firm favourite throughout Italy during the Easter period, perfectly evoking the flavours and scents of Spring in the bay of Naples. This month Gelupo, the finest Gelato parlour in the heart of London, are celebrating an Italian Easter with their Colomba flavour, the Springtime answer to a Christmas panettone or pandoro.
