Five trends to trip into spring 2022 with style

Temperatures are warming up, the sun is shining and everyone knows what that means! It’s time to bring back those spring dresses. New York Fashion Week may be over, but the trends found on the runway are just starting to take shape. And though it’s too soon to determine exactly which looks will translate into sales, there are clues in what designers touted for next spring.

The spring 2022 collections showed a return to fashion that’s more glamorous than we’ve seen in seasons past – and certainly more optimistic. There were also some striking similarities among designers, who shared common themes and colour palettes. Here are five top trends to watch.

Floral prints

It’s never too early to start planning your spring wardrobe, and the first thing on the list should be a stunning floral dress. No matter what event one is attending, it will make the wearer stand out in the crowd and feel like a queen. 

No list of spring dress trends would be complete without florals. There is something about a classic floral print that brings back that feeling of springtime. This season, there’s everything from printed wrap dresses to maxi styles with tiered skirts to choose from. Whether it’s a bold design or something more subtle that’s needed, there’s something right. 

Fashionistas could try rocking a strapless floral dress with a pair of strappy sandals for a brunch date with friends or family. Long, floaty dresses

The trench dress

The lace dress

This time of year, it’s all about colourful lace dresses for spring. Lace is a feminine fabric, and dresses made of lace are just too pretty to pass up. There are many classic yet eye-catching lace dresses – perfect for outdoor weddings or springtime vacations.

Polka dots

Polka dots are perennially popular for good reason: they’re fun, versatile and timelessly stylish.
