Foundation season two: On the red carpet with the cast at the London premiere
The epic 1000-year sci-fi saga Foundation, based on the award-winning novels by Isaac Asimov, returns to Apple TV+ this July, following a band of exiles who are seeking to save humanity and rebuild civilisation by defying Galactic Empire.
The Upcoming hit the blue carpet in central London to hear from the cast what fans can expect from this next chapter in the much-lauded show. Series star Lee Pace spoke about returning as Brother Day and the plot twists and turns audiences have in store.
Leah Harvey also shared some insights into playing Salvor Hardin and what she thinks it is about the story that has captured viewers’ imaginations.
Laura Birn, who plays Eto Demerzel, spoke fondly of her time working on the show and with her fellow cast.
Dimitri Leonidas further gave some insight into the allure of the incredibly detailed world-building described in the books and replicated on screen, and the philosophical elements that can be drawn from the story.
Sandra Yi Sencindiver spoke with us about playing Enjoiner Rue and how she got to grips with the nuances of the texts, and how sci-fi can open up space for the representation that can still be slow to achieve in mainstream film and TV.
Dino Fetscher stopped to chat about some of the stunt scenes he had to pull off on set.
We also heard from Cassian Bilton about playing Brother Dawn and how he prepared for this role in this complex sci-fi universe.
Judi Shekoni was full of excitement to share what fans have to look forward to in this season, and how the diversity in the cast and on set was something groundbreaking.
