Prime Video to premiere British rom-com How to Date Billy Walsh with star-studded cast

Prime Video is set to charm viewers with its latest original British romantic comedy, How to Date Billy Walsh, which will premiere on the streaming platform on 5^th April 2024. The film features a star-studded cast including Sebastian Croft of Heartstopper fame as Archie, Bridgerton’s Charithra Chandran as Amelia and Tanner Buchanan from Cobra Kai as the eponymous Billy Walsh. In anticipation of the film’s release, Prime Video have released a teaser trailer, first-look images and key art to whet your appetite.

The narrative centres around two teenagers, Amelia and Archie, who have shared a close friendship since childhood. Archie, secretly harbouring romantic feelings for Amelia, is on the verge of confessing his love when Amelia becomes smitten with Billy Walsh, a charismatic new student from America. Archie’s attempts to thwart the budding romance only serve to push the pair closer together, jeopardising both his chance at love and his friendship with Amelia.

Sebastian Croft expressed his excitement about the film’s release, sharing his hopes that audiences will enjoy the British rom-com as much as the cast enjoyed making it. Charithra Chandran also conveyed her delight in playing Amelia and is eager for viewers to see the fun-filled film on Prime Video.

How To Date Billy Walsh also stars  Kunal Nayyar, Nick Frost, Guz Khan, Lucy Punch and newcomer Daisy Jelley and is helmed by Alex Sanjiv Pillai, with a script penned by Alexander J Farrell and Greer Ellison.
