Yauatcha Soho celebrates 20 years with a special £20 anniversary menu
In a tribute to two decades of serving Cantonese delicacies in the heart of London, Yauatcha Soho is commemorating its 20th anniversary with the launch of a special £20 menu. Starting from Tuesday, 25th June, the renowned dim sum teahouse, which first opened its doors in 2004, invites diners to partake in a celebratory experience that encapsulates its essence through dim sum, patisserie, mixology, and tea. This limited-time offering aims to celebrate the milestones of the restaurant’s journey, blending tradition with modern sophistication in the bustling locale of Soho.
The celebratory menu is a carefully curated selection showcasing the best of Yauatcha’s offerings, including both cherished classics and new dishes. Patrons can expect to indulge in a Steamed Dim Sum Trio, each piece symbolising a particular aspect of the teahouse’s journey: a Goldfish Sea Bass Dumpling, representing the latest addition to their menu; a Scallop Shui Mai, a staple since brand’s inception; and a Wild Mushroom Dumpling, a culinary creation that has evolved significantly in presentation and taste over the years.
Following the dim sum, guests will be treated to the Longevity Peach Petit Gateau, a patisserie item inspired by the Cantonese tradition of celebrating significant milestones with longevity peaches, symbolising the enduring success and virtue of Yauatcha over the past two decades.
The anniversary treats also extend to the mixology offerings, with a selection of cocktails that revisit and revitalise recipes from the teahouse’s history. Among the highlights are the Cha La Lai, Lam Peak Martini, Lemonberry Martini, the refreshing Lalu, and a Popcorn Old Fashioned, each telling a part of the restaurant’s story through tastes and ingredients.
Since its launch in 2004, Yauatcha Soho has not only gained critical acclaim but also became a favourite among the Soho dining scene, attracting a mix of celebrities and loyal locals alike. The £20 anniversary menu is an opportunity for both new and returning guests to immerse themselves in the flavours and heritage of Yauatcha at an accessible price point, celebrating the teahouse’s commitment to excellence in Chinese cuisine.
