Sabrina Carpenter’s Europe adventures before the Europe Leg of her Short n’ Sweet Tour

The “Short n’ Sweet Tour” is Sabrina Carpenter’s 5th career tour, and it embodies all her years of hard work and dedication in the music industry. The 25-year-old singer has toured the shores of Europe a couple of times, making powerful appearances with energetic performances, which collectively make her current tour one of the most anticipated in Europe.
The “Evolution Tour” was an eye-opener to her European audience, showing how good she was. Before that tour, Sabrina hadn’t had any major encounters with a large audience. However, after she began headlining the “Evolution Tour,” it paved the way for more artists who worked with her. This led her to land opening act roles for artists on tour such as Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and the British pop band called “Vamps.”
Soon after the “Evolution Tour,” two other tours followed through, but they didn’t shake Europe like the “Emails I Can’t Send Tour,” which she started the European leg of in June 2023. Sabrina then joined Taylor Swift as an opening act during the “Eras Tour,” where she was introduced to a greater audience – as the “Eras Tour” was known, especially in some parts of Oceania where she made appearances.
We’d like to believe that those appearances have added a spice to how Sabrina headlines concerts now – guess this is something we’ll find out when she comes to Europe in March. While that’s news that excites us, we’re more interested in her adventures before the “Short n’ Sweet Tour.”
Somehow, we believe it’ll help us satisfy our cravings for her performance – more like a leap into the future by visiting the past to understand what the artist is capable of. One thing that has remained evident in her growth so far is her choice of venues this time around.
We discovered that this time around her gigs will be held in bigger venues compared to her previous visit, which is great because, presumably, her fan base must have increased due to her increase in popularity as well.
This is even more reason to secure Sabrina Carpenter tickets on time, even if it means exploring an alternative ticket marketplace. Without further words, let’s dive right into revisiting Sabrina Carpenter’s adventures before the “Short n’ Sweet Tour.”
The “Emails I Can’t Send Tour:” Sabrina Carpenter’s previous adventure in Europe
Sabrina Carpenter came to Europe during her “Emails I Can’t Send Tour.” She met a larger audience than what she had bargained for but conquered it regardless. The sweetest thing about this story is the fact that we’ve discovered how she did it.
Choice of countries visited
Going through the records of Sabrina Carpenter’s “Emails I Can’t Send Tour,” you’ll discover that selecting where to host her gigs in Europe was an adventure. Our research made us realise that Sabrina made her schedule according to where her album was performing best.
At the time of the “Emails I Can’t Send Tour,” Sabrina had just released her fifth career album, “Emails I Can’t Send.” The tour was headlined in support of the same album, but that’s not the highlight of the day.
A brief look at the countries she visited and the countries that her album charted might give you a better understanding of this adventure. For instance, Sabrina’s first concert in Europe during the “Emails I Can’t Send Tour” was held in Ireland.
Guess what the album charted as when it was released… No.24 on the Irish Albums (OCC). The same with Scotland, the second place she visited on the same tour, where the album charted at No. 25 on Scottish Albums (OCC) and No. 41 on the UK Albums (OCC). In essence, you visit where you’re wanted, and that’s what Sabrina did.
Venues and attendance
So, we imagine that at this point, Sabrina Carpenter was quite excited that her album was making waves on European soil. Even though she didn’t know where most of her fans were streaming from in Europe, it was adventurously moralising enough to know that there are indeed people who love her craft in Europe.
The next thing she did was to look for an adequate venue in these countries that gave her song charting spaces so she could meet her newly found fans. Where did she choose? The least expected venues – some of the places we’ve never heard of in Europe.
Like the 3Olympia Theatre of Ireland, Barrowland Ballroom of Scotland, and Palais 12 of Belgium. Sabrina went below average to pick venues with a capacity of only 1000+ people, and we believe she did that to prevent raising her hopes.
It was quite evident that her songs were loved in Europe. But are these people willing to come see her perform live? That was a question she could answer, only if she went there to see for herself. As it stands, that adventure was a worthy one because she’ll be revisiting the same countries this year but with eyes on bigger venues with larger capacity. That’s growth.
Opening acts
Recalling the fact that Sabrina Carpenter had appeared as an opening act twice before headlining the “Emails I Can’t Send Tour” meant she knew the importance of having one on her tour. This explains why she went to Europe with Annika Bennett, an American-based songwriter, producer, and singer.
Annika Bennett appeared on all of Sabrina Carpenter’s Europe gigs, from day one to when she held the last Europe gig in Paris, France, on the third of July 2023. This decision is worth noting because Sabrina has released the names of opening acts who’ll be following her to Europe this year.
The list includes the likes of Rachel Chinouriri supporting her on over ten dates, with Beabadoobee, Clairo, and Olivia Dean supporting her on subsequent dates. This is a lot more than she needed back then during her previous tour, but it screams growth and nothing else.
Number of gigs
It’s only reasonable that as the size of her audience increased, so should her gigs. If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s the fact that it gets to the extent that you just can’t entertain your fans in a night. This, in most cases, is not about the size of the venue but about demand.
What’s the adventure about this? We found it quite adventurous that Sabrina tirelessly went from one city to the other every night entertaining her fans. All her appearances in Europe during the tour were single gigs.
We see growth in her current tour since some countries have up to two gigs scheduled in them, both in the same city. For instance, her England gig this time has two fixtures planned to be held in Hyde Park, London. Unlike the previous tour, where she planned four gigs in England, held in four different cities and venues. That was epic.
Fan favourites
“Emails I Can’t Send” remains one of Sabrina Carpenter’s impressive albums in the sense that there are a couple of fan favourites that are too much to let go. This has made including them in the setlist of her upcoming tour unconditional.
We’re talking about songs like “Read Your Mind,” “Tornado Warnings,” and “Fast Times,” among others. All these and many others can be found in the setlist of the “Short n’ Sweet Tour,” even though the tour is in support of her sixth career album, “Short n’ Sweet.”
We’d like to consider the process involved in selecting fan favourites from a list of songs as an adventurous one, especially since it entails taking note of which song receives more traffic after a certain time. That’s greatly attributed to a live performance, to say the least.
